Event Facilities

Interested in renting one of our facilities?

The Howard County Historical Society maintains beautiful facilities offered for rent for your special occasion! The Seiberling Mansion and grounds offer beautiful backdrops for photos, as well as indoor and outdoor areas that will accommodate smaller groups. The Elliott House has been a favorite location for hosting weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, group meetings as well as graduation open houses and workshops! 

 

Please fill out an inquiry form with the date of your event to check the availability!  You may also visit our office located in the carriage house directly behind the Elliott House. 

 

Payment is accepted via phone or in person at museum office. Dates cannot be held without a completed rental application and payment of damage deposit. Rental and staff fees are due 30 days prior to event. Please call our office at 765-452-4314 with any questions.

Elliott House

Maximum capacity 75 people. Includes use of first floor, kitchen, 2nd floor dressing room, two bathrooms, porches, and tables and chairs. Includes one (1) additional hour before and after event for set-up and tear down. This does NOT include use of the grounds/yards surrounding the house. Set up the day prior to the event will be considered a two (2) day rental and charged a rental fee of $800.

Monday - Thursday$150
  • $200 damage deposit (must be paid to hold date)
  • Rental time is for 3 hours
  • $50 for each additional hour
  • Full day rental package is $350 and includes time of 8 AM - 10 PM
Friday - Sunday$250
  • $200 damage deposit (must be paid to hold date)
  • Rental time is for 3 hours
  • $75 for each additional hour
  • Full day rental package is $450 and includes time of 8 AM - 10 PM
EH Side Yard Addition$250
  • $100 damage deposit
  • $250 with full day rental

Seiberling Mansion

Maximum capacity 25 people. Unavailable Tuesday-Sunday 1-4pm or during designated special events. Includes use of mansion foyer and main staircase, mansion porches and chairs.

Sunday - Saturday$400
  • $250 damage deposit (must be paid to hold date)
  • Rental time is for 2 hours.
  • $200 for each additional hour
  • $50 supervisory staff fee per hour

Grounds Only

Includes use of east garden, mansion porch and grounds between mansion and Elliott House. No access to interiors or restrooms. Mansion porch and grounds not available for rental or rental set-up Tuesday-Sunday 1-4pm or during some special events.

Photography Only

Includes use of Seiberling Mansion OR Elliott House indoor spaces for professional photography sessions. No damage deposit required, fee due when scheduled. Maximum capacity 20 people. Not available Tuesday-Sunday 1-4pm or during designated special events.
